Scholar in Residence

The Center for Global Public Relations (CGPR) is dedicated to helping public relations practitioners, scholars/educators and students coalesce into a global professional community that shares universal professional values and best practices. As a resource for people worldwide wanting to increase their knowledge about global public relations, CGPR provides many public relations initiatives, including global partnerships, on-site research and educational opportunities. Among the top-rated educational opportunities is the CGPR Scholar-In-Residence program.

This semester-long program enables public relations scholars/educators to embark on and continue their research while at the Center for Global Public Relations in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The Scholar-In-Residence is provided an office with computer resources, professional on-campus housing and complete library privileges. The CGPR Scholar-In-Residence is embraced by the UNC Charlotte community and is expected to lead panel discussions on their research area, serve as a guest speaker in classes relating to their area of interest and assist in the creation of CGPR programming initiatives. While working alongside scholars in global public relations such as Dr. Dean Kruckeberg, APR, Dr. Alan Freitag, APR, and Dr. Ashli Stokes and with dedicated students, this experience will provide the CGPR Scholar-In-Residence a pleasant and stimulating learning environment.
